Level 6: Pyramid 2

This is more of a reflex test than anything. Still, a common strategy can be applied to solving this level as is outlined below.

As you quickly look at the level (and be very quick as there is a slime approaching you), you may notice that this level can be generalized as having two distinct areas. Inside the pyramid and outside the pyramid. The pyramid interior is sealed off, so the only way to get out of the pyramid once you get in is through the use of the two holes that are being guarded by the two slimes inside. The key to getting inside is to try to make sure that the third slime stays outside. This is done by running to the rope on the left and wait until the slime has reached the ladder. Climb up to the brick platform and run across it picking up the energy crystal as you do. When the slime is near the middle climb up the rope and cross the chain a the top of the screen to get to one of the floating brick platforms. The slime should be far enough behind you (preferably on the other side of the screen) that it will not get inside.

Here comes the dangerous part. Walk off the platform into the pyramid and wait for the slimes to approach you. When both slimes are on the same platform as you, but before they are near the energy crystal in the middle of the platform, run up to the top and grab the two portable holes and the energy crystal. A slime should be on the ladder by now so run over the top of the ladder and fall down to the level below. Keep running and falling or climbing (your choice) until you reach the bottom. Run to near the middle of the platform and drop an energy crystal behind you. If you are lucky, the slimes are together and one will fall down the hole. If you are unlucky, the slimes will be on opposite sides of you. If this is the case, then you will have to jump down the hole created by the slime reacting with the hole and work your way to the ladder on the bottom of the screen. This is done to make sure the two slimes will get together, as once you climb the ladder and cross over the slimes they should meet in the middle. Assuming the slimes were together, you are now alone in the pyramid, in which case you can gather the remaining energy crystals at your convenience, otherwise once you have go back up the rope and enter the pyramid.

Once you have gathered the energy crystals inside the pyramid, you need to gather the two energy crystals that are on the pyramid walls. This is simply done by using the portable hole on the platform above the hole. As you have already used a hole, you will need to recover the hole, and then do the same thing for the energy crystal on the other side. Use the bottom portion of the screen to lure the slimes together, and run across the brick platform above, climbing the rope before either slime is half way across the brick platform. If you mess up and the slimes start to split up, then slide down the rope and run to the ladder in the middle again. If you can’t reach the rope before the slimes are halfway across the platform, then you can always wait for them both to be over half way across though they will follow you up the rope (which can actually be an advantage if you are recovering the hole, but means you will have to lure them at the ladder if you are just grabbing the crystal.

Based on which wall crystal you grabbed first and if the slimes followed you up a rope or not, the exit may be on the rope that the slime are climbing. If it is, you will need to lure them at the ladder as outlined above, otherwise you simply have to run to the exit.
