Level 8: Ladders

This is a vanity level that consists of my initials. It is a reflex level, though a bit of thinking is required. The ladders allow you to move almost anywhere in the level, so it is very challenging. There are many ways to solve this level, but I present my method here.

The first thing to do is dodge the two slimes that are coming for you. Do this by running right to the ladder just before the D and going down to below the period as soon as the right slime is half over the D. Once below the period, run to the right side of the D and climb into the bottom portion of the S in order to get the only portable hole in this level. If you were quick enough, one of the slimes will have trapped itself between the B and a period and the other slime will be left of the D. The slime that is stuck beside the period will stay there unless you are dumb enough to go below the periods. If one of the slimes managed to follow you, then circle around the D before going to the S in order to get both slimes together behind the D.

That still leaves one free slime. Head up to the top left side (do not confuse with the top, otherwise the other slime will head for you) and drop the hole there. Run to the top right corner of the screen and wait for the slime to close in. When it does, run down into the S and run through the hole trapping the slime beside the S. Retrieve the hole. This will also work for two slimed behind the D.

You are now free to deal with the D. This letter traps a lot of people, so think before you use the hole and place it on the far right edge of the D. Grab the three energy crystals, leave the D and retrieve the hole.

Getting to the B will free the slime trapped behind the S, so quickly run up and over the D dropping down as soon as possible to trap the slime behind the D. Place the hole along the right most edge of the top portion of the B to get two energy crystals. Recover the hole then place it in the right most portion of the lower portion of the B and get the last two energy crystals.

With the exit appearing in the corner, you simply need to run down and to the right to finish the level, but be quick as you will free the slime that is trapped behind the period.
