Level 8: Dig

The title of this level describes what you are going to be doing throughout this level. While you do have a couple of slimes to worry about, it isn’t too difficult to control them so most of this level consists of following a good plan.

The very first thing that you must do, and with the slimes heading for you it is important that you do this quickly, is to grab the portable hole that is on the metal platform. Then run to the chain and cross over the chain to the ladder. Climb down the ladder and run across the screen to the rope. Make sure that the two slimes are both closer to the ladder than the rope and climb the rope.

With the slimes stuck on the other side of the screen, your first task becomes emptying out the brick box. This is the simple task of dropping a hole over one of the columns and then dropping a second hole at the right edge of the inside box. Keep moving the top hole over and falling through until you have emptied the box. Once the box is empty, remove the edge of the box out and recover the hole you used to escape the box. Recover the holes used on the edge.

Next is the grass holes. This is a bit tricky as you have to make sure the spot that you land on the grass is the last location you place a hole otherwise you will have a big problem. Once you have retrieved the last portable hole under the grass you can get rid of one of the slimes by luring the slimes to the rope and jumping off the brick through the hole when the slimes are close enough to follow you. You should then immediately run up the ladder and cross the thick brick platform until you are standing over the column of energy crystals. Drop a hole to the left and wait for the other slime to be destroyed.

Continue right and drop down the gap. Climb back up the ladder and place four holes before the permanent hole. Next lay down your other five holes to remove the second layer of bricks. Retrieve the top four holes. Drop three holes leading from the energy crystals and then retrieve the above four holes. This is tricky as you have to drop holes on the top to retrieve holes to the lower right. Still a bit of work will net you four holes bringing the number of holes you have to five. Drop down the permanent hole the slime left and drop two holes near the energy crystals. Drop down and drop another hole near the energy crystals. Drop down and use another hole to create an exit under the energy crystals. You still have one hole left, so climb up to the chain and cross over to the right edge of the thick brick. Drop down and place a hole over the energy crystals. Jump through the hole to gather the remaining energy crystals. Head to the exit and you are done!
