2008 A New Home

The new home page presents the entire month at once. the only things that will appear in a month are things that have been completed and are awaiting release, with the exception of the game in a day challenges which will be created the day they are to be released. There may occasionally be exceptions to this rule, but I will try to keep those to the minimum.

The advantage of this new format is that visitors only need to come to the site on the first Friday of every month and can then see what is coming up that month. If there is nothing that interests them, they can skip visiting for the rest of the month knowing that they are not missing anything that interests them. If there are things that they find interesting, they will know when it will be released and can return that day.

There are two things that will appear every month. First, one of my older games or episodes will be released as open source. Eventually I will run out of material to release as open source, but that is at least a few years off. The second thing will be a game in a day challenge which will be done live. While this will be scheduled, the real world isn't always kind so these dates are subject to change without notice in the event of something else requiring my attention that day.

The other two or three releases will be episodes of games whenever possible, though this is not always the case. This is where you, the visitor, get to have at least a little bit of say if you want it. Send me an email about which of the following five alternative releases you prefer and the simple fact that somebody cared enough to actually bother to email me will give great weight to that alternative. I am betting that at most I will get two emails and both of them will be from people who have emailed me in the past, but I like being proved wrong. Those alternatives are:

• Extra open source releases
• More Game In A Days games
• Strategy Guides
• Free/open source Third Party game reviews and links
• Technical Articles
