Instructions

General Game play

This game, for the most part, this game revolves around a point and click interface. You can't get much simpler than that which is why some of the episodes, in particular the ones involving the piloting of a space ship, use a different control scheme.

Piloting Space Ships

The space ship might seem tricky to use at first, but it uses proper physics. In other words, when you apply thrust you move in that direction. Side thrusters will rotate your ship so you can change direction. Because there are no forces acting against you, once you start moving you will continue to move in the direction until you hit something or apply thrust to change your direction. To stop, simply apply thrust in the opposite direction from which you are heading.

Inventory

Episode 37 requires use of the inventory. The bar at the bottom of the screen is your inventory. While prior episodes involving the inventory required that you pick up an item to add it to the inventory, episode 37 gives you your inventory at the start of each segment of the episode. To use that item, click on it. You click on an item in the inventory bar to use it then click what you wish to use the item on. The selected inventory item is highlighted.

Conversations

The conversation system used in this day is the same system in day 5. The only potentially deadly conversation this day happens in Episode 40, with the reason it is deadly being revealed in episode 39 and 40.

Walk through

If you are having problems with an episode, you can skip it and go to the next episode. That being said, the Making of One of those Weeks eBook has walk through of all the episodes it covers. If the episode you are stuck on is an episode that has been released as open source, then the eBook chapter for that episode will have the walk through. Episodes are open sourced roughly a year or so after they were originally released.
