Blazing Games - Ultimate Retro Project - Volume 3 - Episode 35
Page Last Updated: September 21, 2007
Cribbage is an English card game that was apparently created by poet John Suckling a long time ago. The game can be played with two, three, four or six players though this computer version only supports the two player version. The goal of the game is to be the first to reach 121 or more points, though some variations of the game only play to 61 points. You earn points based on the hand you keep, pegging during the game play, and by the cards in the crib if the crib is yours.
This version of the game allows for both human vs human and human vs computer play. If you are playing against a human, there will be a buffer of text that is displayed between players so that only the player who's turn it is can see the cards in their hand.
This game is requires Java 1.1 or better to run. Browsers that support 1.1 tend to be 4.x or better versions. Windows XP users may have to download a Java plug in to use Java applets.
