Level 3: Re-using Holes

This level requires the player to take advantage of hole re-use. This level is strictly a puzzle level, so you won’t have to worry about any slime. The fun of this level comes from figuring out how to solve it on your own. If you are having too much trouble, then read the walkthrough below.

First get the hole beside you then climb the ladder up to the brick platform. Move to the left or right (your choice) until you are one space away horizontally from the energy crystal below. Drop a hole over the energy crystal and drop down to pick up the crystal. Now work your way down, getting the three portable holes as you do so. Climb back up the ladder and recover the hole (use the drop key which will now pick up the hole). Repeat the crystal and hole grabbing technique with the other side, climb the ladder and recover the hole. You should now have all seven portable holes.

Climb up to the chain and cross over to the left. While it technically doesn’t matter which side you do first, doing the left side first is slightly faster. You will discover why this is once you have gathered all the energy crystals. The procedure for both sides is to simply drop a hole, fall through the hole and gather all the gems in that section. Repeat until you have reached the bottom.

Before doing the other side, it is imperative that you recover the hole you used on the first side. Once all the crystals have been gathered, you simply go to the exit (which requires the hole that you should have remembered to recover).
